MELISSA HUNT
Melissa is an Enid native that through her love of dance and her experience as a dancer and dance teacher, opened Hype Dance Productions in 2008. She grew up dancing at Mary Alice Stalcup and began teaching and assisting classes at age 13. She was a member of the University of Central Oklahoma Pom Squad, taught classes at several studios in OKC, and danced on semi-pro teams. Melissa went on to coached Enid Pom for 6 years and started up the Enid Middle School Pom program for Enid Public Schools. She wanted to develop a safe, supportive place for dancers in Enid so she opened Hype and has loved every single moment since.
Her favorite part of teaching is watching her students confidence grow and flourish both in and out of the dance studio. She has taught thousands of dancers through the years and holds a special place in her heart for all of them. Many of her past students have gone on to become professional dancers, dance on college dance teams, and become dance teachers and choreographers.
